Horse Boarding Cost
I live and board my horses in Massachusetts. There are many nice horse boarding facilities, from simple, family owned to top notch amenities such as an indoor, carriage horse driving and riding track and access to trails. We have done research and found that the average cost for horse boarding in Massachusetts is as follows:
- Full Board – no indoor, basic: typically around $450 – $475 per month, which usually includes grain 2 x a day, hay, 2 times a day and possibly daily turnout.
- Full Board – with indoor: about $650 per month and up, which usually includes the same as above, plus use of the amenities; if there is an on-site instructor lessons.
- Rough Board: about $150.00 – $200 per month and includes stabling and turnout. Owner provides feed/ bedding and daily cleaning of stall/ pen.
- Indoor arena rentals: usually $15 – $20 per hour, per horse.
- Riding lessons: around $35-$45 per hour.
Yee-haw! These barns still have stalls open! So, call them and reserve your stall.
